This cable was designed specifically for cameras and camcorders that either do not have an onboard microphone or do not have an external microphone input. Using this cable in conjunction with your ImmersionRC Powerplay allows you to capture time-synced audio while recording footage from any camera or video source, or bypass your camcorder’s built-in microphone.
The cable features a male RCA connector video input and a female 3.5mm TRS microphone input.
*For suitable audio quality, you must use a high-quality powered microphone with a built-in preamp or its own power source. Passive and lower-end powered microphones will produce low or inaudible audio due to insufficient signal amplification.
This cable is designed to be plug-and-play with the ImmersionRC Powerplay, which means that the audio/video channels from your camcorder with an RCA A/V output will transmit properly to the ImmersionRC Powerplay without having to use a cable spacer or unplug your cable!
The coiled length of the cable is approximately 6.5 inches, and can stretch to approximately 17 inches to accommodate a wide variety of tapeless camcorder setups.
